Speaker: Maria Derlõš
The Maritime Forum will be opened by Maria Derlõš, who will speak about Lasnaidee and other initiatives of the Urban Lab (Linnalabor) concerning modern urban communities. Later in the evening we will watch ‘Stromka’, Markus Orav’s documentary, portraying the Stroomi beach and forest, one of Tallinn’s most popular recreation areas, through the eyes of an onlooker.
Maria Derlõš is a Master’s student in Urban Studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts and has been tackling questions of urban space from multiple aspects in the Urban Lab since 2013. As a leader of the Lasnaidee non-profit association, Maria studies and values the urban space in Lasnamäe, the largest district of Tallinn, together with the local residents.
