Antarctica is a continent dedicated to science. What kind of scientists are working in the Antarctic and what do they do there? What does a polar expedition actually mean? Where do the Antarctic explorers live, what do they eat and what equipment do they use to survive in such a severe climate?

Tours in Estonian will begin at 12.00 and 14.00; in Russian at 14.00. Registration at the Desk!

A workshop with the Maritime Museum’s artist Roman Matkiewicz will be open from 12.00 to 16.00.

Museum is closed

Due to the state of emergency in the country the museum is closed until may, 1 2020, if not reconsidered sooner. All events during this time period are postponed or cancelled.

Video installation of harbours is open in the Seaplane Harbour

On March 6, an exhibition “Time Flies over Harbours”, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Estonian Maritime Museum, was opened in the Seaplane Harbour.
