You are kindly invited to participate in a two-day international conference ‘Popularisation of Maritime Heritage through Museum’, which will be held in Tallinn, Estonia on 10-11 November 2022.
The hybrid conference on 10 November aims to highlight and explore popularisation of maritime heritage through themes of exhibiting underwater cultural heritage, communication and education, (co-)creative approaches and communities. The presentations explore the various applications to research and post-processing results with the aim to include communities and the public in their maritime heritage.
The practical workshop on the second day of the conference, 11 November will discuss how one might approach creating an exhibition focusing on maritime heritage and what tools could be at one’s disposal.
Participation is free when registered (except the Dinner Reception and excursions). Please register HERE. The registration is open to 7h of November. The number of participants attending in person is limited.
The conference will take place in Tallinn and its first day can be followed online by registered participants upon request. The presentations and workshops will be in English.
The event is organized by the Estonian Maritime Museum (Tallinn) in cooperation with the Vrak – Museum of Wrecks (Stockholm, Sweden).
