A familyful of excitement!
The Seaplane Harbour offers discovery and delight for visitors of all ages. Its timeless and smart exhibition, rich in stories, together with a maritime-themed play area, invites the whole family to spend quality time together while learning something new.
In the entrance hall, a large aquarium immediately catches the eye. The exhibition area showcases our extensive collection, enhanced by interactive simulators and the Cat Kipper film screened in the Yellow Submarine, which playfully introduces the wildlife and species of the Baltic Sea. The Seaplane Harbour Family Trail adds a fun, game-based layer to the visit: children search for cat-shaped trail markers throughout the exhibition and answer questions to ultimately send their own self-designed vehicle soaring beneath the museum dome.
For younger sea lovers, we offer a cosy play area called the “Play Sea.” The youngest can explore soft building blocks in the baby pool, experiment with a magnetic wall and boat track, while older children can test their accuracy and teamwork skills, load cargo onto ships, adventure through a seaweed forest, and dress up as Neptune, an octopus, or another fascinating sea creature. A snug reading nook provides a calm space to dive into maritime stories.
