Café MARU

From May 3rd the Cafe is open for a takeaway during the museum´s opening times. The terrace is open to consumption on spot.

You can visit the café even without a museum ticket!

Café MARU of the Seaplane Harbour offers a spectacular interior view of the entire museum. In the summertime, guests can also use our cosy outdoor terrace. MARU’s menu is a homage to the cooking heritage of Nordic and Estonian coastal people: it is characterised by pure flavours, simplicity and modernity. Both warm and cold meals are prepared on the spot. You can reserve a table or order catering for groups. The 60-seat café and 100-seat outdoor summer terrace can be reserved for birthdays or other festive evening events.

Opening times of the café are same as the museum’s.

From October to the end of April, on Mondays, the Cafe is open for lunch, 11.00-14.00. The period from October to April the museum is closed on Mondays.

The Estonian Maritime Museum is now opened

After easing the COVID-19 restrictions, the doors of the Fat Margaret Tower and the Seaplane Harbour of the Estonian Maritime Museum have been opened again in accordance with the applicable requirements. Both museum buildings will feature a new exhibition.

From March 1, the Maritime Museum is temporarily closed.

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Estonian Maritime Museum’s Fat Margaret and Seaplane Harbour are temporarily closed since March 1. There is a playground in the outdoor area of the Seaplane Harbour, and museum ships can be viewed from the quay. The marina accepts ships. Café Maru, which is open on the second floor of the hangars, offers lunch on-site from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 2 pm and the possibility to order delivery to home or to the office.
